RAC Expands Longstanding Partnership to Enhance Health Care for Farm Workers

January 1, 2021 – (Oxnard, California) – Reiter Affiliated Companies (RAC) has teamed up with longstanding partners Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT) and Pinnacle Claims Management (PCMI) to offer their employees’ health care at the Cedar Health & Wellness Centers.

RAC recognizes the importance of having accessible and affordable health care that is close to home.

In 2009, RAC established La Clínica FreSalud to provide a culturally competent approach to intervention, prevention and maintenance health care through consistent and comprehensive services. For the previous eleven years, farm workers working in the RAC network had access to affordable primary care through La Clínica FreSalud in Oxnard, Santa Maria and Watsonville.

Effective January 1, 2021, RAC will transition from their Clínica FreSalud services to Cedar Health & Wellness Centers.

“We remain dedicated to providing our employees with convenient access to quality health care clinics,” said Eric Reiter, VP of California Operations for Reiter Affiliated Companies.

There will be no changes to the current services available to employees, including prescription medications, same-day and walk-in appointments, minimal wait times, immunizations, preventive routine checkups, health screenings, pediatric care for children ages 2+, and more.

Cedar Health & Wellness Clinics are staffed with a knowledgeable team of experts in a welcoming and caring environment with locations in Salinas, Watsonville, Santa Maria and Oxnard.

Reiter continued, “We also remain committed to our Sembrando Salud program, offering health and wellbeing education and resources, and the promotion of family friendly activities that support the overall wellbeing of our employees.”

Through this expanded partnership, RAC will be able to leverage industry resources, continue their role as an active supporter of health care in the Ag industry and continue to provide quality benefits for employees.
